Thanks to all of you who have participated to make these
lists possible.
If you're looking around this site you've probably noticed
the recent increase in publicity about in-flight incidents involving passengers, crew
and carry-on luggage. There's also a fair chance that you've done some flying and
swapped stories about your experiences and the people you have met.
If so then these pages are for you.
It seems the most popular topic these days is carry-on
luggage. The airlines are trying inventive ways to enforce the rules, aircraft manufacturers
are building larger overhead bins, and we're lugging more and more onboard. It's a
little like the NIMBY principle, every one wants the benefits, but no one wants to
make a sacrifice. The luggage system is not that bad. If you're smart,
you can even work the system so that airline will deliver the luggage to your house/hotel
later the same day -- now that's service.
In the words of one respondent ... "SO,
TO ALL OF YOU WHO INSIST ON CARRYING ON THOSE HUGE BAGS AND CLOGGING UP THE OVERHEADS,
QUIT IT!"
The top ten lists below are garnered from impeccable
field research conducted by myself, business colleagues and people like you while
flying around the world. I hope you enjoy them...

your trip go a little smoother
So why don't airlines put an airplane
etiquette card in the seat back pocket alongside
the safety instructions, sick bag and in-flight magazine? It sure might help.
